Black House supports local artists, musicians
A home located outside of downtown Fort Worth is hard to miss, as its exterior is painted completely black. Noel and Sara Viramontes use their unique home as a way to support Fort Worth artists, filmmakers and musicians. The family calls their home the Black House. On most weekends, they host events to showcase local, creative work, attracting nearly 300 people.

New coach, new arena, new attendance record
This basketball season has brought not only a new coach and new facilities, but also a new attendance record for the new arena. More than 1,400 TCU students packed the Ed and Rae Shollmaier Arena for the game against Baylor–one of many games where TCU came in large numbers to support their frogs. The attendance for the Baylor game set a new record, it was the largest turnout since the arena was remodeled.
Student crowned Miss Wisconsin Teen USA
While many students were making plans to watch the Horned Frogs take on the Arkansas Razorbacks on Sept. 10, one first-year student was flying to Wisconsin to compete in a pageant. “Something in me said ‘I want this,” said Abby Bryson, a graphic design major. “This is what I want to be. This is what I need to be’.”.

Colleen Mortell is originally from Green Bay, Wisconsin, and graduated from Texas Christian University in May 2018. She earned her degree as a double major in film-tv-digital media and journalism news and media studies. Colleen has a passion for the entertainment industry.

Experience:
Colleen first experienced the role of the media as a press box assistant for the Green Bay Packers. During summer 2016, she interned at WBAY-TV 2 in Green Bay where she gained hands on experience with reporters and producers. On TCU's campus, Colleen worked as a multimedia journalist, production assistant and as an interim media production manager. During her senior year, she interned for the Ryan Seacrest Foundation in Dallas. Colleen currently lives in New York City and is a Production Associate for Good Morning America.
